New Year's Eve Party

Hi, everyone! I'm sorry I'm so late getting this out this year, but I figure most of you already know we do this every year and once you've been invited once, you're invited forever, so I wasn't too worried about it.

Anyway, hope you can come by, if not for the whole evening, at least for a few minutes.

The Schiller Family's Annual New Year’s Eve Open House!

Monday, December 31, 2007
from 6:30pm until whenever!

This is a casual, “come-as-you-are, come when you
can, leave when you have to” event!

Feel free to drop in on the way to other parties, after
other events, or to come and spend the evening!

We will be serving snacks all evening, so if you’d
like to bring something to share, that would be
great, but it’s not required.

New Year’s Eve party poppers will be
provided at midnight for those
who go the distance!

NO RSVP REQUIRED!

Our Next Event!

"Slater Garcia will be singing from 2-6 songs with the Fabulous Esquires Big Band (www.esquires.org) at Rusty's Rhythm Club holiday party (www.rustyfrank.com/rhythmclub.asp) on Manchester in Playa Del Rey on Wed. Dec 19. This is music he truly loves so he's very excited about the opportunity to sing with a real "big band"!

The drawbacks are:
There is a cover charge.
It says "formal attire" for this event on the website.
There really isn't any seating - ya gotta dance or stand.

The upside is:
It is very enjoyable to listen to the Esquires if you like the big-band style even remotely.
Rusty's is a great swing dance venue because it is appropriate for all ages and dancer-friendly for the full range from beginner to advanced. If you want to, come a little early for Rusty's lesson (see the website for details)."

OK everyone, this is gonna be our next official event! If think that there is a even a slight chance that you will show up, let us know. Slater has been working towards this for a long time and we think it would be great if we were there to support him.

As it says above, there is a cover charge ( it is $12-15) but in that charge is included a beginners swing class. So for all you who are starting your "I don't know how to swing dance" emails, you have no excuses. Also, when it says formal, it means formal. Guys, if you don't have a suit, we think that is alright. Just as long as whatever you wear is formal (we don't want that excuse either.) Girls, do we really need to tell you to wear a dress?

Anyway, we hope to see you there.

Thanks,

The Hosts of the SBCHP

Hey everyone!

Our first event was a lot of fun and I would like to thank everyone who showed up. So, now we have our second event thanks to our co-host from Hope.

"tonight at Hope Chapel's youth group, we are having our "friend night." It starts at 7pm and ends at 9pm. It will be held in the old Albertson's building next door. Umm there will be a mechanical bull and people can skateboard inside (there might be a few ramps) and free El Burrito Jr. for everyone. So if you want to come cool and maybe call a few people and see if they want to come but if you are busy, no biggie. I don't know it could make for a fun event."

Hope to see you there!
